Six 25T Bollard Pull Tugs delivered to the Indian Navy in phased batches through 2025-26, each built and launched at the Titagarh Yard, North Kolkata.
The Bhishm Class tugs are 25-tonne bollard pull vessels built to support the Indian Navy's harbour and fleet operations, assisting capital ships and submarines with berthing, unberthing and manoeuvring in confined waters. Their high bollard pull and precise low-speed handling make them essential to routine fleet support at naval bases, where safe, controlled ship movement is a daily operational requirement.
Titagarh delivered all six vessels in phases, with launches through 2023-24 and 2024-25 and the full complement handed over to the Navy by 2025-26. The programme was built and launched entirely at the Titagarh Yard in North Kolkata, reflecting the yard's ability to sustain a multi-vessel defence schedule with consistent, on-time delivery from a private shipbuilder.
