A self-propelled fuel barge built for the Indian Navy to support INS Vikramaditya and similar fleet, enabling reliable fuel transfer and helping sustain the carrier’s operational endurance. Delivered and inducted as part of TNSL’s growing contribution to India’s naval capabilities.
The 100T Fuel Barge is a self-propelled vessel built for the Indian Navy to support fleet fuelling operations, including the refuelling of INS Vikramaditya and similar fleet. It transports fuel between shore facilities and ships at berth or anchorage, helping support naval operations without relying solely on fixed jetty infrastructure. Its self-propulsion also allows the vessel to move independently within harbours and anchorages.
TNSL built the barge at its Titagarh Yard in North Kolkata and delivered it to the Indian Navy for service. The vessel reflects TNSL’s growing capabilities in building specialised support vessels for India’s maritime and naval requirements.
